The articles of this month discuss various biochemical parameters including the relationship between HbA1c, lipid parameters, GCMS with T2DM. Articles further highlight the interrelationship between hypertension and T2DM along with the role of ACEIs and ARBs for favorable clinical outcomes.
Various articles elaborating on management strategies for HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) were discussed including the role of empagliflozin, angiotensin receptor/neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) therapy. A research paper that came up with a new attractive strategy for ameliorating glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance for the treatment of obesity and T2DM by activating BAT and inducing WAT browning-mediated thermogenesis opens the door for further researches and hope for a new treatment approach.
Affect of diabetes on mild cognitive impairment and burning mouth syndrome-like
symptoms with diabetic peripheral neuropathy are discussed this month. Lastly, MHD had effectively mentioned the highlights of the latest edition from the International Diabetes Federation which should not be missed by readers.
